About Maison Belfield
Our Mission
Maison Belfield is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reach out to current and ex-inmates and to train, rehabilitate and reintegrate them into their community so that they can become productive members of society. It provides ex-inmates and individuals who are battling different addictions and challenges, with a unique opportunity to live in a supervised group home in a residential setting. Maison Belfield strives to prepare its participants for reintegration into society by teaching them how to cope with the responsibilities and challenges of a free and open society. It guides its clients in building and managing a constructive lifestyle.
Maison Belfield is non-sectarian and open to all inmates and ex inmates who correspond to our mission and who will abide and respect our integration and rehabilitation framework and values.
Maison Belfield is affiliated with Chabad Lubavitch youth organization of Montreal and with the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch Organization. Chabad Lubavitch has branches in over 80 countries worldwide and is involved in all aspects of life. It offers humanitarian, social, educational, cultural, recreational and religious programs for all ages and all backgrounds.
Maison Belfield works collaboratively with its sister organization Centre Chabad Chabanel which provides to the community many services including a subsidized community restaurant, daily and monthly luncheons, holiday celebrations, educational publications, a resource center, daily prayers, counseling and a number of other services. Through Centre Chabad Chabanel, Maison Belfield has access to numerous companies in the Chabanel garment industry, offering many opportunities for employment, social reintegration and community rehabilitation.

Finding New Ways to Serve Our Community – Car Donations
Over the years, we have been able to grow our community program at Maison Belfield. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to help those in need, and our car donation program was born out of that desire.
Many of us know that having access to a vehicle makes our lives easier and that relying on public transit, specifically in the wintertime, is not always ideal.
Our car donation program allows vehicle owners to donate their cars to individuals and families in need. The donation process is hassle and headache-free, allowing donors to get rid of unwanted vehicles and give to those in their community that need it most.

Having full access to a reliable vehicle can do so much for a family in need – here are a few examples.
Work Opportunities
If you are looking for work but relying solely on walking and public transit, your opportunities can be limited. With access to a vehicle, folks have the opportunity to access job options outside of their immediate neighborhood. People can also use their vehicles to do delivery jobs.
Opportunities for Kids
There are many wonderful youth programs, sports, and activities available on the island of Montreal, but oftentimes, kids can only access these programs if they have a way to get there. Providing a family with a vehicle allows them to provide their children with the opportunity to play sports, participate in afterschool programs, get a part time job – and so much more.
Travelling Outside of the City
Without a vehicle, people seldom have the opportunity to travel outside of their city – or even their neighborhood. Having a car means that families can show their children the countryside, take them to new towns and cities and instill a sense of adventure and curiosity for the outside world.

We know that donating a vehicle that could be otherwise sold is a significant charitable decision. We have a lot of respect for our donors and strive to make the donation process as easy and hassle-free as possible. Most of the paperwork can be completed over the phone, and we will ensure that you receive a tax credit for your donation.
We never sell our donors’ information or bombard you about donating in the future. There will be no solicitation, just a one-time transaction.
When you call us to receive information about donating, we won’t pressure you to make a decision. We will provide you with the info you need and allow you time to make up your mind.
